We were ready for church a little early one day and Olivia would NEVER pass up an opportunity to cruise around on her scooter.

Vacation Part 2

The house we stayed in had a nice play structure for the kids. 
It was great because I got to sit out on the patio and relax while they played. 

I love how simple things like rocks and buckets can keep kids busy!

There were lots of cool places to eat within wakling distance of our house.  One place that was really neat was a waffle food truck that had a big grassy lot with lots of adirondak chairs out for people to sit and eat.  The girls ran around and played a lot there.

What goes better with sand than Cheetos?

On our last full day there we took a train into San Diego and walked around Sea Port village. 
The train ride was really fun. 

We went to the top of the train and the girls had a great view!

We bought some cool spinners at a kite store and had a great time on the grassy area at Sea Port Village.

Vacation Part 1

We just got back from our summer vacation trip to San Diego.  It will take me a couple of posts to share all of the pictures.

On the first day of our trip we drove half way and stopped at a hotel for the night so the journey wasn't too long for our little travelers.  This was a great idea!  We played in the pool for the afternoon then had a nice dinner!  Natalie finished swimming lessons and is doing great in the pool.  She got to show off her skills here.

One day in SD we went to the Zoo.  It's a great zoo and the girls loved seeing all of the animals.

This is a big zoo and there is a lot of walking and a LOT of hills.  Here's everyone trekking up a hill.

One day we went for a bike ride along the beach.  We stopped and had lunch by a park first. 
Olivia was pretty much running everywhere we went on this trip.

We did some shopping and Natalie picked her Kindergarten backpack. 
Wow!  Can't believe it's almost time for school to start.  As usual, the summer went by way too quickly.
