4 Months Old!

Somone please help me figure out how to slow time down a little bit!!! This is going by way too fast! Baby Olivia is four months old!
Check out her serious face and her silly, stand-up hair!
And her beautiful smiling face!
This is why I don't need to take the kids in for professional pics. My husband gets the best pictures on a regular basis. Even though there are toys everywhere, I love these shots of her on the floor.

Nana G's Birthday BBQ

We had a BBQ to celebrate Nana G turning 75 years old!

Miss Olivia is all dressed up & ready to party! Virginia came too & got to spend some time with the girls!
Look at those cute flip-flops! The baby toes in them are pretty cute too ;)
Time to play in the pool!
Olivia liked looking at the water so...
...we decided to try to see if she liked it IN the water.
And, she really did. She loved me lifting her in & out of it.

Natalie played in the pool a little too but she really loves her water table & played in there quite a bit.

Then she & Nana checked out Nana's garden and found that a cucumber was ready to be picked. Natalie loves picking the tomatoes too but none were ready today. In fact, when she picks tomatoes she puts them in a bowl and carries them around like they are gold. She tells people that they can look at them but not eat them. It is really funny!

This One's for You NANA G!

Happy Birthday!
We love you!

(grab some tissue... this is going to make you cry!)

Natty on the Trampoline Jumper at the Fair

Olivia goes to College

Not yet, really! But she did spend 4 days with me at UC Santa Cruz while I chaperoned 18 of my leadership students at camp. Here she is in our dorm room at UCSC being very silly!

State Fair

We went to the State Fair today. It was HOT!!! But we still managed to have fun!

Getting ready to head out into the heat.
Nana & Papa in the Flinstone's car.
Ron & Olivia at the Dinosaur exhibit. It was pretty cool but we weren't sure Natalie would like it because the dinosaurs were really loud. She drug us back there four times to do it so I guess she proved us wrong.
Natalie in a model airplane.
Sheron & Natalie checking out the butterflies.
Meeting a new baby cow that was a few days old.
He came right over to Natalie.
Seeing a mommy cow ready to have her baby.
Nana tring to keep Olivia cool.
Checking out some baby pigs (10 days old)
...and some that were only 2 days old.
Natalie wanted Ron to pose in this and she took the picture ;)
It's probably a good thing I had gone on a walk to try to get the baby to fall asleep or this might not have happened. But, Natalie talked the rest of the gang into letting her get hooked up on ropes to this jumping trampoline thing. She did have a blast on it! Ron took some video... will post that soon!

Bouncing REALLY high!
Then we went & found some more rides...
On the carousel

driving a car...
on the dino mini rollercoaster...

Girls Trip

My mom's good friend, Sheron, from England came for a visit. They have known each other since they were little girls, and although my mom moved here when she was 11, these two have remained close and visited each other many times since then. Mom, Sheron & I took the girls and went for an overnight girls trip. We went to Gilroy for the day and had a wonderful shopping trip. Let's just say we did our part to help revive the economy ;) Then we headed to Monterey to stay overnight.

We went for a walk on the beach. All the girls!
Of course, Natalie was able to convince Nana to splash in the water with her.

Natalie & Nana created a mini sand castle.
The next day we had breakfast in Pacific Grove & then went to Cannery Row & the wharf to walk around and do a little more shopping. Natalie loved watching the sea lions. Especially this one that was very close to the walking path.
Natalie & Sheron

Watching the sea lions
Nana caught Olivia ready to snooze
Natalie always plays with my camera and takes pictures of her toys, stuffed animals, us, etc. And, she is getting much better at focusing on things and not putting her fingers in front of the lens. She wanted to take some pictures of the sea lions so I let her use my mom's camera. She must have taken about 40 pictues of the sea lions. She had so much fun doing it, I couldn't bear to stop her. Here is a good one she took.
Then she took this one of Nana & Olivia.
Then she took this one of us. No joke! I was amazed that it turned out this well! We have a budding photographer on our hands!!! :)
Some girls walked by with a baby chihuahua. She HAD to pet it. She is OBSESSED with baby puppies right now. She still pretends she is one from time to time.
We have one week left with Sheron & we will for sure have a few more fun adventures with her while she is here!
